Who Is Opening for Slipknot on the 2027 (sic)est Stadium Tour?

Bring Me the Horizon opens for Slipknot at all 13 North American shows of the 2027 (sic)est Stadium Tour, playing right before Slipknot. Each of those shows also has an earlier opener that changes from city to city: Lamb of God, Motionless in White, Lorna Shore, Loathe, Acid Bath, Polyphia, Kublai Khan TX and Vended each play one to three dates. The shows outside North America have different openers. Marilyn Manson and Hatebreed play all five South American dates and the first show of the tour, at Wembley Stadium in London, where Lorna Shore joins them.

That makes eleven different opening acts across nineteen shows, so it is worth checking your city in the list below. A ticket in Chicago and a ticket in Houston get you two very different nights before Slipknot comes on.

Slipknot announced the tour on Monday, September 28, 2026, and named every opener on day one instead of adding them later. General on-sale is today, Friday, October 2, 2026 at 10 a.m. local time.

The Openers

Bring Me the Horizon is the only opener at all 13 North American shows, and the biggest name among the openers. The Sheffield band has spent a decade moving from deathcore to arena rock and back again, and POST HUMAN: NeX GEn turned them into a genuine stadium draw in their own right. Putting them on the same night as Slipknot is what makes a 50,000-seat stadium realistic in cities where Slipknot usually plays outdoor amphitheaters.

Lamb of God play one show only: Soldier Field in Chicago on July 25. That stands out, because Lamb of God are not a young band working their way up. They are Slipknot's contemporaries and have shared top billing with them on past tours.

Motionless in White play the last two North American dates, San Francisco on August 15 and Phoenix on August 18.

Lorna Shore are the only band playing both in North America and overseas: the London show on July 3, then Hershey and Boston. Their deathcore is the band a lot of people found heavy music through after 2021, which makes the Fenway Park show the one to watch.

Loathe play three shows, tied with Kublai Khan TX for the most of the rotating openers: Commerce City, Inglewood and San Francisco, which covers most of the West Coast and Mountain dates.

Acid Bath play the first two North American dates, Washington, D.C. and New York. This is the reunion story of the tour. The Louisiana sludge band broke up in 1997 and spent nearly thirty years as a cult favorite, so two stadium shows is a big jump.

Polyphia play Houston on August 6 and sound like nobody else on the tour: instrumental, technical, closer to jazz fusion than to metal.

Kublai Khan TX play three dates, Montréal, Toronto and Nashville. Vended play Montréal only, and they have a family connection: the band includes Griffin Taylor and Simon Crahan, sons of Slipknot's Corey Taylor and Shawn Crahan.

Marilyn Manson and Hatebreed open the London show and all five South American dates, and play no North American shows at all.

Two notes on the dates above, because ticket sites already disagree.

The Bogotá show is September 16, per the band's own announcement and Colombian press including El Tiempo. Live Nation's artist page currently lists it as September 17, a one-day slip that often happens with evening shows outside the US. Go by the official date until the ticket page is corrected.

The São Paulo date is not a regular Slipknot show. It is a festival day: Slipknot headline the first day, September 4, of The Town festival at Interlagos, which runs September 4 to 12, 2027. Marilyn Manson and Hatebreed are confirmed for that same day, and the festival has not announced anyone else yet.

What the Schedule Tells You

Wembley is the only show in the UK or Europe. It is not the start of a European run; it is the only one. Fans elsewhere in Europe either travel to London or wait and hope for 2028 dates, which have not been announced.

These are mostly baseball and football stadiums, not amphitheaters. Nationals Park, Citi Field, Fenway Park, Daikin Park and Chase Field are all MLB venues; Soldier Field and SoFi are NFL. Three dates break the pattern: Parc Jean-Drapeau and Golden Gate Park are park sites, and Dick's Sporting Goods Park outside Denver is a soccer stadium.

Two venue names are worth knowing before you search for your ticket. Daikin Park in Houston is the former Minute Maid Park, renamed in January 2025, and plenty of listings still use the old name. Rogers Stadium in Toronto is a temporary 50,000-capacity Live Nation venue at Downsview that opened in June 2025 and is meant to be torn down after about five years, so it is not Rogers Centre and it is not downtown. FirstBank Stadium in Nashville is Vanderbilt's 40,350-seat campus stadium, by far the smallest venue of the North American shows.

There are also a lot of weeknight shows for a stadium tour. Montréal, Hershey and Phoenix are Wednesdays, Nashville is a Tuesday, and Commerce City is a Monday. Stadium tours usually stick to weekends, so five weeknights out of thirteen suggests the dates were set by when the stadiums were free, not by demand.

Event pages are on Ticketmaster's Slipknot artist page, on SeatGeek, and at slipknot1.com, where VIP packages are also listed. South American dates sell through local promoters rather than Live Nation in most of those markets.

The band is running in-person launch events at SoFi Stadium and Wembley Stadium with exclusive merchandise, earliest ticket access and a thirty-foot flaming Tribal S lit at sunset, which is a reasonable summary of how seriously Slipknot takes this particular milestone.

Why 2027

Slipknot have not released a full album since The End, So Far in 2022. An eighth record is in progress with producer Matt Wallace, and in September 2026 the band put out a standalone single, "Arsenal," with a video directed by Shawn "Clown" Crahan. It is the first studio recording to feature Brazilian drummer Eloy Casagrande, who joined in 2024 after Jay Weinberg's departure and had until then only played live. Guitarist Jim Root has said "Arsenal" will not appear on the album: it was simply the track they could finish soonest.

So the tour is not promoting a new album. It is the band's first stadium tour anywhere, named after "(sic)," the opening track of their 1999 self-titled debut, and it has the strongest lineup of openers they have ever brought out. If the album lands before next summer, the setlists will change. The dates will not.
