Who runs this site

TourWax is an independent site that lists concert tour dates, venues and music news. You can reach us through our About page.

What we collect

You do not need an account to use TourWax, and we do not run a newsletter. We do not ask for your name, email address or payment details. What we do collect:

• Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic details of each request, such as your IP address, browser (user agent), the page you asked for and the time.
• Ticket link clicks. When you click a ticket link, we log the click: your IP address, user agent, the page you clicked from, the time and which ticket seller the link goes to. We use this to count clicks, filter out bots and see which pages help people find tickets.
• Usage data. Google Analytics tells us which pages people visit, roughly where visitors come from, what device and browser they use and which links they click. We use it to understand what is useful and fix what is not.

Cookies and similar technology

Google Analytics uses cookies to tell visits apart and to measure how people use the site.

Our blog posts show ads from Google AdSense. Ads appear only on blog posts, not on artist, event, venue or city pages. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and device identifiers to show ads, including personalized ads based on your earlier visits to this site and other sites, and to measure how ads perform.

You can turn off personalized ads from Google in Google Ad Settings, and opt out of personalized ads from many other ad companies at aboutads.info. Google explains how it uses data from sites that show its ads at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Affiliate links

Some ticket links are affiliate links for Ticketmaster, SeatGeek and StubHub International, managed through the Impact affiliate network. After you click one, Impact and the ticket seller set a cookie on the seller's site so the seller can credit us if you buy tickets. The price you pay does not change. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more.

Services we rely on

• Vercel hosts the site and keeps its request logs.
• Google Analytics measures how the site is used.
• Google AdSense shows the ads on blog posts.
• Impact tracks affiliate ticket links for our ticket partners.

Each of these companies handles data under its own privacy policy.

Your choices in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google shows a consent message before personalized ads load, and analytics and ad cookies stay off until you choose. You can change your choice at any time.

The button reopens Google's consent message. It is shown only to visitors in the regions above; elsewhere nothing opens, and you can use the browser and Google settings above instead.

How long we keep data

Server logs and ticket click logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted. Google Analytics keeps its data under Google's standard retention settings.

Children

TourWax is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we collect or use data, we will update this page and its effective date.
