Pearl Jam has been one of the most reliably touring bands in rock for over three decades. But after the massive Dark Matter World Tour that ran through 2024 and into 2025, fans are naturally asking: is Pearl Jam still touring in 2026?

Here's what we know.

Is Pearl Jam Touring in 2026?

Pearl Jam's Dark Matter World Tour, which supported their eleventh studio album Dark Matter (released April 2024), was one of their most ambitious touring cycles. The tour ran from May 2024 through May 2025, covering North America, Europe, and Australia.

As of early 2026, Pearl Jam has not announced a formal new tour. However, the band has a long history of returning to the road — they've toured in virtually every year since the early 1990s, with only occasional breaks. A gap after a major world tour is normal. It would be surprising if they stayed off the road for more than a year or two.

Check TourWax's Pearl Jam page for the most current information on any announced dates.

Pearl Jam's Dark Matter Tour: What We Learned

Before looking ahead, it's worth noting what made the Dark Matter Tour special — because it signals what a future Pearl Jam tour would likely look like.

The Dark Matter tour featured:

  • Marathon setlists. Pearl Jam regularly played 30-song sets spanning their entire catalog, from Ten through Dark Matter. No two setlists were the same.
  • Deep cuts and rarities. Eddie Vedder and the band regularly surfaced songs that hadn't been played in years or decades.
  • Long shows. Expect 2.5-3+ hours when Pearl Jam plays. They're one of the few legacy rock bands that still delivers a full concert experience.
  • Multiple nights in the same city. In major markets (NYC, Chicago, Seattle, London), Pearl Jam typically plays two or three nights, with different setlists each time.

What Pearl Jam Concerts Are Like

If you've never seen Pearl Jam live, here's what to expect:

Venue size: Pearl Jam typically plays arenas (15,000-20,000 capacity) in most markets, with occasional stadium shows in their strongholds (Seattle's Lumen Field, etc.). They don't do many small venues anymore, but they've historically avoided the largest possible venues in favor of keeping a connection with the crowd.

Atmosphere: The crowd is intense and deeply knowledgeable. Fans travel long distances to see multiple shows on the same tour. If you're in front of someone at a Pearl Jam show who seems to know every word to every song going back to 1991, that's standard.

Ticket demand: Pearl Jam has one of the most committed fanbases in rock. Their ticketing approach has evolved over the years — they've tried to combat scalpers with fan club pre-sales, verified fan sales, and holding back tickets for fan club members. Despite this, popular shows sell out quickly.

Eddie Vedder: At 61 (in 2026), Vedder's voice remains remarkable — lower and more weathered than in 1991, but powerful and expressive. He's one of the most charismatic frontmen in rock history, and his between-song storytelling adds context and humanity to shows.

How to Get Pearl Jam Tickets

Fan Club (Ten Club)

The best way to get Pearl Jam tickets is through the Ten Club, the band's official fan club. Ten Club members get access to:

  • Ticket presales before general on-sale
  • Fan-allocated tickets — often the best available seats at face value
  • Priority seating in many markets

Annual Ten Club membership is relatively inexpensive and pays for itself immediately if you attend even one Pearl Jam show. Sign up at the band's official website.

Ticketmaster and SeatGeek

General on-sale tickets for Pearl Jam shows go through Ticketmaster. For resale, SeatGeek and Ticketmaster's fan-to-fan exchange are the primary markets.

Pearl Jam has been one of the more vocal bands about opposing exploitative ticket pricing, which is part of why they've invested in fan club systems. But resale prices for major shows still often exceed face value significantly.

TourWax shows current ticket availability from both Ticketmaster and SeatGeek when Pearl Jam announces shows. Check the Pearl Jam page for updates.

Tips for Seeing Pearl Jam

Join the Ten Club. It genuinely makes a difference for ticket access. For a band of Pearl Jam's popularity, the fan club presale is often the difference between getting tickets and not.

Be flexible on market. If your local market sells out, consider whether you can travel to a nearby city. Pearl Jam often plays multiple nights in larger cities, and a second or third night frequently has better availability.

Know the setlist culture. The Pearl Jam community (including sites like pearljamontour.com) tracks setlists obsessively. If you're attending multiple shows, knowing what they've played recently can help set expectations.

Arrive on time. Pearl Jam typically goes on close to their scheduled time. Unlike some acts that routinely start 45-60 minutes late, Pearl Jam respects the crowd's time.

Pearl Jam's Catalog: A Quick Guide

If you're going to your first Pearl Jam show, knowing their catalog makes the experience dramatically better. Here's a quick orientation:

Essential albums:

  • Ten (1991): The debut, and one of the best-selling debut albums in history. Alive, Even Flow, Black, Jeremy.
  • Vs. (1993): Arguably their strongest album. Go, Animal, Daughter, Better Man.
  • Vitalogy (1994): Nothingman, Corduroy, Better Man, Immortality.
  • Yield (1998): Given to Fly, Wishlist, Faithfull, Do the Evolution.
  • Binaural (2000): Light Years, Nothing As It Seems, Soon Forget.
  • Riot Act (2002): I Am Mine, Love Boat Captain, Come Back.
  • Lightning Bolt (2013): Mind Your Manners, Sirens, Pendulum.
  • Gigaton (2020): Dance of the Clairvoyants, Seven O'Clock, Retrograde.
  • Dark Matter (2024): Scared of Fear, Dark Matter, React Respond, Running.

Live songs you'll likely hear: Pearl Jam almost always plays Alive (usually as a closing number or encore), Better Man, Black, Daughter, Given to Fly, and State of Love and Trust. Beyond that, anything is possible.

Seattle: Pearl Jam's Home Market

If you want to see Pearl Jam in the most electric possible setting, Seattle is it. The hometown crowd connection is real — Vedder often references Seattle history, local causes, and longtime fans during shows. Seattle shows also tend to be longer and include more rarities.

Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle Center has become their primary Seattle venue. It holds around 18,000 and has excellent acoustics for a modern arena.

Looking Ahead

Pearl Jam is not a band that's fading. Dark Matter was critically well-received and showed a band that still has creative momentum. The Dark Matter World Tour proved they can still sell out arenas globally.

When they announce their next tour, expect:

  • North American run in arenas and stadiums
  • European festival appearances or their own shows
  • Possibly a return to Australia/New Zealand
  • Multiple nights in major markets

The question isn't if Pearl Jam will tour again — it's when. Keep an eye on the Ten Club newsletter and TourWax's Pearl Jam page for announcements.
